Alex Craggs - Children's Writer and Illustrator

I am a writer and illustrator, who for years wrote and doodled to relax. (I'm the big chap holding the small chap!)

Poems, short stories, sketches and sitcom scripts have all found home on my computer, but now I wish to market my work commercially.

Last year, I joined the Thames Valley Writers' Circle with a satirical political novel half written and a desire to push on. I entered a Children's story Gryff Gets Fired for a competition within the circle, won it, and have found that stories for kids have flowed freely since. Children’s writing also prompted me to ignite a resting design talent. This has been rewarded with a recent commission from Autumn Publishing to illustrate a drawing/colouring/activity book for children. I am a member of the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators.

I hope to delight people with my work. If I've succeeded with you (or even if I haven't) please let me know by email, and if by chance you're an enthused agent or publisher, I am equally enthused and looking for the breakthrough!
